Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW), Kuwait issued following new Substations tenders:
- Construction of SHPT”C” 132/11 kV Substation
- Construction of SHPT”D” 132/11 kV Substation
- Construction of SHPT”E” 132/11 kV Substation
- Construction of SHPT”F” 132/11 kV Substation
The Substation location will be in Al-Sabah Medical District, Kuwait.
132/11kV Substations in Kuwait:
Each of the Project involves the construction of a new indoor 132/11 kV Gas Insulated Substation, arranged in single bus single breaker configuration.
Each of the Substation consist of following major equipment:
- 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
- 11kV Switchgear
- 30MVA, 132/11kV power transformers
- 5 MVA 33/11kV Power Transformers
- Neutral Earthing Resistors
- 250kVA, 11kV/433V Station Service Transformers
- MV Power Cables and Terminations
- AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply
- Control/Protection System
- Substation Monitoring System
- Communication System
- Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
- Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation and cable works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to complete the project activities with in 24 months from the date of Contract award.
MEW sets the bid submission date as 16 February 2020. Tender Fee is 3500KD.
