Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Installation of 115kV Underground cable for the integration of Al Hassa Housing 115/13.8 kV substation”
The project location is in Al Hassa, eastern region of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based Construction Company, Capital Lights Co. For Electro-Mechanics (Capital Lights).
The value of signed contract is SAR 35,952,000 (1$=3.75 SAR).
Earlier, during November 2019, SEC received a total of sixteen (16) bids for the project. After technical and commercial evaluation, the project has been awarded to contractor.
115kV Cable Project in Al Hassa:
Project Scope of work includes Design, supply, testing, commissioning and installation of two (2) 115kV Underground cable circuits, consisting of one (1) 1x1Cx1200 Sq.mm mm, Cu conductor, super clean-XLPE, Cu metallic sheath, cable per phase complete with all other accessories, from Al-Daeree 380/230/115kV BSP to Al-Hassa Housing 115/13.8kV Substation.
The length of each circuit shall be approximately 9.93 km.
Design, supply and installation of approximately 9.93 km of 1×96 cores Non-Metallic Underground Fiber Optic cables along the new 115kV Power Cables route is part of the project.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new cable work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 23 months from Contract Signing Date.
