AlSharif Group Submits the lowest bid of $ 22.3 million for SWCC’s 110kV Substation

Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) announces the bid results for “Expansion of 380/110kV HHR-1 Substation to feed the Power Supply to Jamum Pumping Station”.

The project location is in Makkah region, western province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of three bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction company, Al Sharif group has submitted the lowest bid.

Al Sharif group has submitted the price of SAR 83,673,914.

Power Supply Arrangement to Jamum Pumping Station:

SWCC invited the bid to facilitate the expected power requirement of Pumping station Project, by extending the HHR-1 (HARAMAIN HIGH SPEED RAILWAY) substation along with additional work at Pumping Station (PS-M2) Substation.

Project scope of Work involves the extension of HHR-1 BSP Substation by two (02) Nos. 110 kV GIS cable/OHTL feeder bays along with complete control, protection, SAS, SCADA system, minor civil and electromechanical works.

The existing HHR-1 BSP substation is equipped with Substation Automation System (SAS) and remotely controlled/supervised from the Remote Supervising Station/SEC Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA system.

For the Pumping Station Substation (PS-M2), project scope of work includes providing of the dedicated Building/room to house the control, protection, SCADA and Tele-Communication, Auxiliary supply system equipment for the two number line feeder’s bays along with the necessary civil, electromechanical works.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

The project will be supervised and implemented in accordance with National Grid standards and specifications.
