Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Installation of 380kV, 120MVAR Bus Reactors at Khasm Al-Aan (9017) BSP, Industrial Area (9027) BSP and Modification Of PP12 Connections by Swapping of Cables”
The substation and power plant locations are across the Riyadh area. The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction company, Alfanar Construction.
The value of signed contract is SAR 31,439,900.
Earlier, during February 2019, SEC announces the bid results for the above project. After technical and commercial evaluation, the project has been awared to contractor.
Project Description:
Project Scope of Works involves supply and installation of follwiing equipment:
- Two (2) nos. 380kV, 120MVAR, ONAN, Bus Connected reactors One (1) each at BSP 9017 & BSP 9027.
- Oil/ XLPE terminations, required bushing CT’s, cable compartment, neutral side surge arresters, supporting structures, interconnecting cables and termination hardwares.
- 380kV Power cables, LV Cables & Multicore cables and its terminations.
- Protection and Control system modifications
- SCADA/Substation Automation System modifications
- Fire Fighting system requirements
- Civil/Structural works, Mechanical works
The Bus shunt reactors shall be equipped with online DGA unit to monitor/analyze gases and water separately.
Swapping between Steam Turbine (ST)-1 & Gas Turbine (GT)-1/ Gas Turbine -2 Feeders, Swapping between ST-2 & GT-5/GT-6 Feeders, 380kV Cables, Terminations, Link Boxes, Joints, Civil, Protection, SCADA/DSM, SAS requirements at Power Plant 12 (PP12) is part of the project.
Project Summary:
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 15 months from Contract Signing Date.
