Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) announces the bid results for the project “Consultancy Services of the Metro Project Phase One”.
Netherland’s firm KPMG has submitted the lowest bid. KPMG has submitted the bid price of BHD 1,612,525.00 (1 USD = 0.376000 BHD).
Earlier, during June 2019, MTT receives proposals from eight firms. After technical evaluation, bid results was announced.
Project scope of work involves transaction Advisory services which will include providing support to the Ministry in the preparation of documents, tender, evaluation and appointment of the preferred bidder.
The estimated value of the Metro Project up to $2 billion and is likely to be built with private participation.
The Bahrain Metro is part of the kingdom’s Public Transport Masterplan 2030, which has recommended the development of 184 km of transit network comprising six lines.
As per the report, the project is being implemented in four phases. In Phase One, two lines of length running 30 km will be constructed covering 20 stations.
