Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “110kV Arafat-1 Substation expansion project”
The project location is in Makkah, western Region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction company, Al Gihaz for Contracting, Trading & Tourism (Al Gihaz) Company.
The value of the contract is SAR 41.95 million (1$=3.75 SAR).
Project Description:
The project scope of work includes following major materil:
- Two (2) 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgears
- 13.8kv Switchgear
- HV, MV Power Cables and Terminations
- AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply
- Surge Arresters
- Control/Protection System
- SCADA (RTU) System
- Communication System
- Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
- Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
Project scope of work also includes Installation, testing & commissioning of 50/67MVA, 110/13.8kV power transformers. The material will be provided by SEC.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of the works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
