Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for “Upgrading of Jabal Al-Noor 110/13.8 kV Substation”
The project location is in Makkah, Western Region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A total of seven bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction company, Mohammed Al Ojaimi Establishment (Al Ojaimi) has submitted the lowest bid.
Al Ojaimi has submitted the price of SAR 28,830,000 (1$=3.75 SAR)
Project Description:
The project scope of work includes the upgrade of existing substation by providing of fifteen (15) numbers 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), associated Protection System, Substation Automation System, communication System and Civil works.
The GIS material will be supplier by SEC, however, installation, testing & commissioning of GIS is part of Contractor scope.
Project Scope of Work also involves following Underground Cable works:
- Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Four (4) No. new 110kV underground cable circuits in flat formation & Two NFOC, using 1×2500 Sq.mm Cu. XLPE Cable per phase including 110kV outdoor surge arresters with structures & Foundations, outdoor cable sealing ends with structure & Foundations. The length of each circuit shall be approximately 50meters.
- Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Two (2) No. new 110kV underground cable circuits in flat formation & Two NFOC, using 1x1200mm2 Cu. XLPE Cable per phase. The length of each circuit shall be approximately 50meters.
- Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Two (2) No. new 110kV underground cable circuits in flat formation & Two NFOC, using 1x1200mm2 Cu. XLPE Cable per phase. The length of each circuit shall be approximately 50meters.
- Fiber Optic cables and necessary terminal equipment etc. shall also be installed along with each of the above cited new circuits
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 17 months from Contract Signing Date.
