Al Haider Submits the lowest bid of $13.1 million for 115kV Transmission line of Rafeah-2 115/13.8kV Substation

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for “Construction of 115kV Overhead Transmission line for Rafeah-2 115/13.8 kV Substation”.

The project location is in Rafeah, eastern Region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of nine bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction Company, Al Haider Co. For Trading & Contracting (Al Haider) has submitted the lowest bid.

Al Haider has submitted the price of SAR 49,216,000 (1$=3.75 SAR)

Project Description:

Project scope of work includes, Design and construction of 115kV double circuit, three phase, vertical configuration overhead transmission line on lattice steel structures and steel monopoles.

The line conductor will be two (2)-795kcmil ACSR/AW Drake conductor per phase.

The connecting substations will be Qaryat Al Ulya Substation No.02 and Rafeah Substation No.02.

The entire overhead transmission line shall be shielded with two (2) cores composite optical overhead ground wire (OPGW).

Approximate route length of overhead transmission line is 55.40km.

Project scope of work also includes design and construction of one (1) new overhead transmission line to Underground cable transition area and two (2) circuits of 115kV underground cable.

The size of the cable is single core 2000 Sq.mm Copper consudtor, super clean XLPE.

Approximate route length of underground cable is 410 meters.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 23 months from Contract Signing Date.
