NESMA Submits the lowest bid for Rabigh Substation expansion

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for “Expansion of Rabigh-1 380/110/13.8kV BSP”

The project location is in Rabigh, Western Region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of five bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction company, NESMA Telecom & Technology has submitted the lowest bid.

NESMA has submitted the price of SAR 12,555,555 (1$=3.75 SAR)

Project Description:

The project scope of work includes the expansion of 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) by adding Two (2) 110 kV circuit breaker and Six (6) disconnect switches.

The continuous and short circuit ratings of 110 kV equipment shall be similar to the existing GIS. Existing GIS is ABB, type is ELK-04.

Project Scope of Work also involves the necessary protection, control, communication, AMI system and SCADA equipment and Civil works. The Monitoring, control and protection system shall be IEC61850 standards based substation automation system (SAS)

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 23 months from Contract Signing Date.
