Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW) Authority issued Pre-Qualification Process for international companies to participate in the tender “Supply & Erection with O & M services of DOHA Seawater R.O. Desalination Plant with Recarbonation System (Stage-II)” in State of Kuwait.
International Firms wishing to prequalify for the tender should have the total equity for the main company not less than 10,000,000/- Ten million Kuwaiti Dinars.
For the joint venture or consortium companies, the total equity of the leading firms shall be at least ten million Kuwaiti Dinars and of each partner should not be less than 0.5 million Kuwaiti Dinars.
Further the companies, must prove that it has supplied, commissioned and put into Commercial Service one Seawater Reverse Osmosis of capacity not less than Ten MIGPD in similar environment of State of Kuwait, and it has to be in commercial operation at least Five years.
Project scope of Work:
- Mechanical works such as Seawater supply pumps, Sodium Hyprochlorite dosing pumps & Tanks, Acid dosing pumps & tanks, Ferric chloride dosing pumps & tanks, Sodium Bisulfite dosing pumps & tanks, Ultra Filtration (UF), Micron Cartridge filter, R.O. modules, High pressure pumps, Energy Recovery Units, Chemical Cleaning pumps & Tanks, Back flow pumps, Product water pumps, In-Line Mixers, Recarbonation System equipments, piping handling equipments, steel structures
- Electrical works such as transformers 132/11 KV & 11 KV/415V, 11 KV & 415 V switchgears, HV and LV bus ducts systems, Motors, Cables, Communication and Time distribution system, D.C. system, External & Internal lighting system, cathodic protection system, Solar Energy system
- Instrumentation & Controls such as Direct Distributed Control System, Control Loops with controlers, control boards and control devices complete local panels, alarm and annunciation system
- Civil works such as concrete pile foundations, pump chambers, Seawater intake & discharge system, road works, Permeate Water Tank, back flow tank, buildings
The completion period is expected to be about (30) months in addition to O & M services for a period of (5) years.
