Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project” Fadhili Gas Plant 380kV Substation expansion and Qaisumah 380kV Substation expansion”.
The project has been awarded to Saudi based Construction Company, Alfanar Construction.
The value of signed contract is SAR 135,825,000 (1$=3.75 SAR)
The project location will be in Fadhili and Qaisumah, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The project has been created in order to meet the load requirements from this region.
Earlier, during July 2019, a total of nine (9) bidders has submitted their proposals. Upon technical and commercial evolution, the project has been awarded to contractor.
Project Description:
Project Scope of works includes the below Major equipment:
- Expansion of 380kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
- 120MVAR reactor
- 60MVAR Reactors
- Protection & Control System Addition/Modifications
- Communication System Addition/Modifications
- Substation Automation System (SAS) Addition/Modifications
- Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System Addition/Modifications
- Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works Addition/Modifications
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by second Quarter of 2021.
