Saudi Arabia receives the lowest bid of $18.93 million for 380kV Transmission line at Marjan

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for “Construction of (1) 380kV Double Circuit (D/C) Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) between New Marjan BSP to Safaniyah BSP and Tanajib Cogeneration”

The project location is in Marjan area, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of eight bidders has submitted the proposals. Indian based construction company, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has submitted the lowest bid.

L&T has submitted the price of SAR 71 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

Earlier, L&T has secured the following projects at Marjan area. Including this project, total value of L&T secured projects is $ 1.11 billion.

Project Description:

This project scope of work involves the construction of one 380kV D/C OHTL from the proposed Marjan 380/230kV BSP to existing Safaniyah 380/230kV BSP approximately 29.05 kilometers long, and construction of one 380kV D/C OHTL from the proposed Marjan 380/230kV BSP to Tanajib Co-Generation 380kV Substation approximately 1.00 kilometer long.

The Project Scope of Work also includes construction of one (1) 230kV D/C OHTL from the proposed Marjan 380/230kV BSP to Saudi ARAMCO 230kV GIS Substation New Tanajib Onshore and Offshore Oil Facilities Substation, approximately 25.95 kilometers long.

The CONTRACTOR shall perform on Lump Sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated WORK and services until final handing over of new transmission line WORK and communication WORK in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor need to complete the project activities in 26 months.
