Saudi Arabia receives lowest bid of $25.4 million for 115/13.8kV Substation

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry receives the proposals for the project “Armed forces Housing 115/13.8kV Substation”

The project location is in Dammam, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of twelve bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction company, Tarek Al Jafari for Contracting has submitted the lowest bid.

Tarek Al Jafari for Contracting has submitted the price of SAR 95.5 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

Project Description:

Project scope of work includes 115kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 50/67 MVA, 115/13.8kV Power Transformers, 13.8kV Switchgear, 7MVAr Capacitor Banks, Protection & Control System, Substation Automation System (SAS), telecommunication System, Electro-Mechanical Works and Civil Works.

Project scope of work also includes installation of 115kV underground XLPE, Copper cable from new substation to source substation.

The project will be supervised and constructed in accordance with the National Grid Specifications and standards.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, material procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of the project.

Contractor need to complete the project activities in 25 months.
