Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), formerly known as Water & Electricity Company (WEC) announces the bid results for the Taif Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP).
A consortium of Spain’s Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios and the Saudi Arabia’s Tawzea submitted the lowest levelised cost tariff of 107.9 Halala ($0.0287) per cubic meter.
Following are the complete bid results:
- Cobra Instalaciones Y Servicios – International Water Distribution Company (Tawzea) LLC – 107.9 Halala/Cu.m
- FCC Aqualia S.A – Abdullah Ibrahim AlKhorayef Sons Co – 116.28 Halala/ Cu.m
- Metito – Mowah Company – Al Jomaih – 149.27 Halala/ Cu.m
- Orascom Constructions – Miahona Company Ltd – 150.48 Halala/ Cu.m
Earlier, during August 2019, SWPC receives the proposals from the bidders.
The ultimate treatment capacity of the project is up to 270,000 m3/day. The ISTP will be located near the city of Taif, in the Makkah Province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Under a 25-year Sewage Treatment Agreement (STA) with SWPC, the project company to be incorporated to develop the Project will treat the entire sewage capacity supplied by SWPC.
