L&T wins EPCI Contract from Saudi Aramco for 28 Jackets

Indian Construction firm, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Thursday (22-August-2019) issued a statement that, it has been awarded a project by Saudi Aramco for offshore jackets.

The project was signed by its subsidiary L&T Hydro Carbon Engineering (LTHE) in consortium with EMAS AMC PTE Ltd, a subsidiary of Subsea7,  Luxembourg-based offshore projects delivering company.

The project is for installing 28 offshore jackets in Zuluf, Marjan, Sfaniya and Ribyan offshore fields located in eastern region of Saudi Arabia,

An offshore jacket is the steel frame supporting the deck and the topsides in a fixed offshore platform.

The engineering and construction company did not provide the exact value of the contract, but specified that as per its classification, the Large project is in the range of over Rs 2500 crore (1$=71.89 Rs).

The award demonstrates Saudi Aramco’s trust on LTHE’s capability to deliver to a challenging schedule with excellent safety and quality performance, statement said.

LTHE’s fabrication facilities in the Middle East and India are fully equipped to execute these challenging projects, the company added.
