Sharjah Airport Authority (SAA) has issued the tenders for the expansion of Sharjah International Airport project.
The project scope of work includes the relocation of utilities, building substructure, superstructure skeleton and other associated works.
Project scope of work also includes the expansion of the terminal building to accommodate airport’s capacity of 20 million passengers by 2025.
The expansion project will have two departure halls and two passport control areas to maintain the smooth flow of passengers. A new VIP lounge with separate entrances and exits will also constructed as part of the project.
The expected project completion period for the support services buildings will be in the first quarter of 2020, while the project will be finished in the third quarter of 2022.
Parsons International will be act as SAA consultant. Earlier, SAA sign the contract worth of $14 m with Parsons International for the supervisory services.
The main contract for the expansion project is expected to be awarded by the second week of August 2019. The project’s Project cost is $ 408 million.
