Kuwait Municipality issued the request for Proposals (RFP) for the construction of South Jahra Labor City Project.
Following companies has been shortlisted for the RFP:
- National Real Estate Company (NREC)
- Consortium of Agility Public Warehousing Company and National Industries Group
- Consortium of Al-Mazaya Company, Kuwait Investment Company and Tariq Alghanim Ltd.
- Consortium of China Sate Construction Engineering Corporation limited, Fouad Alghanim & Sons, Kuwait Financial Center
- United Real Estate Company
Kuwait Municipality will execute the Public Private Partnership (PPP) agreement with the successful bidder. The PPP agreement will be for 40 years including three (3) years for the design, finance and construction of the project.
The South Al-Jahra Labor City project involves the construction, operation and transfer of a 1,015,000 Sq.m Labor City which will provide adequate and affordable housing for 20,000 male, bachelor, expatriate workers. The project will incorporate all aspects of security, health, entertainment facilities.
The Labor City will comprise labor housing, Governmental Services, Commercial Facilities, Infrastructure, Landscaping and Playgrounds.
All the proposals shall be submitted not later than 12.00 pm on 16-Sep-2019.
