Bahrain’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning (Works Affairs) has announces the bid results for the construction of Exhibitions & Convention Centre in Sakhir area.
Bahrain based Cebarco Bahrain S.P.C. has submitted the lowest quote of BD 79.09 million (1$=0.379 BD)
A total of Eight (8) EPC companies has submitted their proposal.
The Scope of Works includes the construction of Exhibitions & Convention Center at Sakhir, including all Civil and Electro-Mechanical works, general services and External works.
In addition to the above, maintenance of Electro-Mechanical equipment during the two years defect liability period after issuance of Taking over certificate will be part of contractors scope.
The planned exhibition Centre will comprise 10 halls with a total area of 95,000 Sq.mm, and a 4,500 Sq.mm conference hall that can be divided into three separate spaces.
The project will also feature 27 small and medium sized conference and meeting rooms.
German firm Tilke Engineers and Architects has been appointed by Ministry to provide consultancy services. The contract was signed during November 2017.
