SEC signed the contract for Shedgum-2, 380kV Substation Expansion

Saudi Electricity Company awarded the project “Expansion of Shedgum-2 380/115kV BSP”. The Project has been signed by (please subscribe to view more details) construction company

Earlier, during January 2019, techno-commercial offers was submitted by EPCs.

The value of the contract is SAR 41.5 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

This project covers the supply and installation of one 380kV bay complete with one breaker and a half and also alter one exit bus of an existing bay at Shedgum-2 380/115kV BSP, including the necessary modification/additions to the protection and controls.

The work including complete protection, metering, control, communication and SCADA equipment and modification at associated Substation at EIC, GHUNAN & DAMMAM HOUSING 380/115kV BSP. The new items installed shall be equipped with Substation Automation System (SAS) and will be remotely controlled from the Power Control Center (PCC) through SCADA system, communication System and gateway. The monitoring Control and Protection system shall be IEC 61850 Standard based on Substation Automation System

The project is located in Shedgum area, eastern region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project has been created to feed power supply to King Salman Energy & Industrial City (KSEIC).

Total duration of project is 23 months.
