Saudi Contractor quoted $83 million for 380kV Substation

Today (31-Mar-2019), Ministry of Housing announces the bid results for construction of Jeddah Airport Housing (JAH) 380/110/13.8kV Substation and Expansion of HHR2 & JNE Substation. The project location is in Jeddah, western region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi based (Please Subscribe to view Company name) Construction Company has submitted the lowest bid.
A total of ten (10) bidders has submitted the proposal.
Saudi based (Please Subscribe to view Company name) Construction Company has quoted the price of SAR 313.950 million (1$=3.75 SAR).
Project Description:
Ministry of Housing issued a tender to meet their load of 226MVA in Jeddah region. This Project will be interconnecting with Saudi Electricity Company’s 380kV grid. The project will be funding by Ministry of Housing and Supervised by Saudi Electricity Company.
The substation’s main scope of work includes as follows:
At Jeddah Airport Housing (JAH) Substation:
 
  • 380kV GIS – Eighteen (18) numbers of Circuit Breakers
  • 110kV GIS – Thirty (30) numbers of Circuit Breakers
  • 302/402/502MVA, 380/110/13.8kV Power Transformers –  Three (3) numbers
  • 380kV, 120MVAr, Shunt Reactor
  • 13.8kV Switchgear
  • Protection & Control System
  • Substation Automation System (SAS)
  • Telecommunication System
At Jeddah North East (JNE) Substation
  • Expansion of existing 380kV GIS by numbers of Circuit Breakers
  • Protection, Control, SAS and Telecom modifications
At Haramain High Speed (HHR2) Substation
  • Expansion of existing 380kV GIS by numbers of Circuit Breakers
  • Protection, Control, SAS and Telecom modifications
The project duration is 29 months.
