28-Jan-2019: Saudi based National Contracting Company (NCC) has submitted the lowest bid for the Jubail 380/230kV Substation expansion project. A total of five (5) contractors has submitted their proposal.
NCC quoted the price of SAR 74.7 million
Project Description:
In order to enhance the power supply demand from 316MVA to 400MVA to National Industrial Gases Company (GAS) the expansion of 230kV GIS at JUBAIL 380/230kV BSP is envisaged and to have a new inter connection between JUBAIL 380/230kV BSP and GAS 230kV Substation. This project covers the supply and installation of 230kV one diameter complete with one breaker and a half configuration and alter one exit bus of an existing bay to Jubail-2 Sub-1 at JUBAIL 380/230kV BSP, including the necessary modification/additions to the protection and control. This GIS expansion and exit bus alteration is required at JUBAIL 380/230kV BSP substation to have two (2) new OHTL feeders to GAS 230kV substation (19km route length) and one (1) OHTL rearrangement towards Jubail-2 Sub-1 230kV substation.
