Saudi Arabia received Six (6) Bids from six consortia for Shuqaiq-3 IWP

On 03/09/2018, Saudi Arabia’s Water & Electricity Company (WEC) received six (6) bids for the Shuqaiq-3 IWP. Once, the project constructed, the Desalination plant will have a capacity of 450,000 cubic meters a day.

  6. Cobra, Orascom, Alblagha Investment

The Shuqaiq-3 IWP Plant will be located in the city of Shuqaiq, on the Red Sea Coast, approximately 137 km north of Jazan, Southern region of Saudi Arabia. The Plant is designed using Reverse Osmosis seawater desalination technology to produce the potable water.

  • Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (DIFC Branch) as Lead and Financial Adviser
  • DLA Piper Saudi Arabia as Legal Adviser; and
  • ILF-Tecon & Partners Engineering PSC as Technical Adviser.
